Historic Old Town is home to nearly 1300 residents with many different voices and stories. These voices and stories contribute to past, current, and future characteristics of the Historic Old Town neighborhood and Erie as a whole. With Erie’s continual growth, it is important to take a step back and understand the original core community, the Historic Old Town Neighborhood. To help learn about and from Historic Old Town residents, Town staff will be conducting a Social Capital Exercise with the neighborhood.
The Social Capital Exercise will be a series of community-oriented and focused outreach events embedded within the Historic Old Town neighborhood. The goal of this exercise is to gauge the existing social capital within the neighborhood and ensure that the voices and stories of the community are collected and preserved for the future.
