Sustainability Action Plan Overview

The Town of Erie (Erie) is currently updating its Sustainability Action Plan, originally adopted in 2019 as a five-year roadmap for advancing sustainability initiatives. The updated Plan will build upon and expand the goals established in the 2019 Plan, reflecting Erie’s evolving priorities and the changing sustainability landscape within Erie and across Colorado. This new Plan will serve as a strategic guide for future decision-making and will help shape sustainability policies, programs, and investments while supporting Erie’s continued leadership in sustainability and resilience.

The key focus areas in the plan are:

  • Buildings and Energy
  • Transportation and Mobility
  • Waste and Materials Diversion
  • Nature-Based Solutions
  • Education and Outreach
